Take Possession - November 30th, 2022

(Knowledge Makes You A Possessor)

By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TO THE BIBLE: “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

(Philemon 1:6 KJV)

LET’S TALK

Being born again, you’ve been brought into a life of success, prosperity, and health. It’s however your responsibility to work out your victorious life in Christ; “…work out your own salvation…” (Philippians 2:12); in other words, make the salvation you’ve received effective.

Some Christians don’t realise this, hence they’re hoping, expecting, and praying that God will do something more that will better their lives.

There’s nothing more the Lord needs to do than He already did for you in Christ. He’s already done everything necessary to ensure your healing, well-being, deliverance, and prosperity; He’s done everything for you to live a balanced life of righteousness, dominion, and power.

If, for example, you were praying, “O God, give me peace,” that would be praying incorrectly, because He already gave you peace. He said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you….”

What you need today is how to take possession of the blessings of God in your life; take advantage of what He’s already done. He’s given you all things freely to enjoy. 1 Corinthians 3:21 says “…all things are yours…”; but how are you going to enjoy them?

2 Peter 1:2-3 gives us the answer; it says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

Through this special knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ, not only are you acquainted with your rights, privileges, and inheritance in Christ, you’re catapulted to the realm where you walk in the reality of the eternal deposits of God’s blessings in you. It’s knowledge that makes you possess that which is known.!

Speak: Dear Father, thank you for granting me an excellent spirit that’s full of the eternal deposits of your goodness, graces, perfections, and beauty. My understanding is enlightened to have precise knowledge of the great riches of your glorious inheritance in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
