Maintain The Glow - December 6th, 2022

Updated: Dec 8, 2022

(Never Lose Your Zeal And Inspiration)

By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

TO THE BIBLE: “Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.”

(Romans 12:11 AMPC)

LET’S TALK

The benefits of praying and meditating on the Word of God are immeasurable. One of such benefits is that they help you maintain the fire of the Spirit. It’s what has helped me keep my spirit aglow for so many years.

I discovered that the two can’t be separated from each other. No matter what you study about God, and the blessings you receive from Him; if you’re not a praying person, you’ll lose the spiritual glow that comes with the Word.

There’s something about the Word of God that has power. It’s not in the words and how they sound; it’s not even in the message itself that it communicates. It’s in the power of the Spirit that’s wrapped up in it.

It’s the same thing with prayer. The most important thing about prayer isn’t so much the answer you receive when you pray but the impact your fellowship with the Lord has on your spirit as you pray; it causes your spirit to glow.

Maintain that glow of the Spirit in your life through fellowship with the Lord in prayer, and meditation on the Word.

Speak: Dear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word and prayer on my spirit. Your Word builds me up and causes me to walk in your perfect will always. As I pray, my inner man is built up like an edifice, and I’m aglow with the fire of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
