An Answer and Hope-filled Solution
This week, Minister Isaiah Fine (President & Founding Director, Doxa Universal), in a document addressed to the beloved and esteemed friends and partners of Doxa Universal, announced plans of an upcoming innovative project under the Doxa Universal Hope & Restoration Mission, titled, Havens of Hope.
Minister Fine explained that Havens of Hope is a hope-filled solution and an answer to the earnest need of adequate shelter and living conditions for the world's poverty-stricken, homeless and inadequately-sheltered communities and individuals.
Haven: a place offering favorable opportunities or conditions; a place of safety, security and comfort.
The esteemed Director of Doxa Universal proceeded to explain that the Hope & Restoration Mission would work together with governments and local authorities to establish Havens of Hope Centers in various parts of targeted countries. Each Havens of Hope Center would be made of a community of people who would be supplied with: well-built and visually-pleasant accommodation; daily meals; medical examinations and assistance where required; education; and, several sets of undergarments, clothes, shoes and accessories.
Havens of Hope Centers: Going Beyond Physical and Material Aid
"A Havens of Hope Center is designed out of love and compassion and works to feed, medicate, shelter and clothe those in earnest need of such aid and support," Minister Fine expounded, "but a Havens of Hope Center goes beyond providing physical and material aid to the poor and needy. Poverty, in the deeper understanding of it, is beyond the lack of required necessities, it's the disablement and weakening of the mind. So to only care for the poverty-stricken materially and physically would be to do them disservice; more aid is required. We aim to empower those that we help and support intellectually and spiritually by supplying them with required and specialised education, training and pastoral care. The system of a Havens of Hope Center is designed in such a way that educates and trains the community members to ensure that they do not find themselves at the mercy of poverty again, and to encourage and inspire them to become operative and effective members of, and contributors to, their immediate and wider societies."
The Director proceeded to explain that all community members would be provided with opportunities for classroom-based learning, work-based learning, business education and training etc., in accordance with the Hope and Restoration Mission's Education Mission, which seeks to connect individuals and communities to hopeful and positive futures and opportunities through the benefits and provisions of a well-rounded education.
Minister Fine announced that funds are currently being raised and collected for this hopeful project. Doxa Universal will be releasing more updates on this enterprise of hope for the poor, needy and disadvantaged in the coming months.
